What's a good human(oid) drawing book or guide for starters?
I'm an aspiring artist, and I really like to draw. My problem is: Every humanoid figure I draw looks like crap. How could I remedy this? I've looked into it, but all the guides I've found say the same thing, which is "scale height with heads". My problem isn't proportion, It's details. My faces look like crap, my muscles are always shaped weird, and I can't even draw a basic skeleton frame right. So does anyone have just a freakin' tome of wonders or something when it comes to this? I'm sort of in need of a philosophers' stone for drawing.
