How can I fix the bed legs of my bed (+ PICS)?

Generally on queen size and larger there are these center supports under the bed to compensate for the bigger span and heavier load (not an insult, just two people instead of one) Did the wood of the box spring break? To support under neath you can use just about anything. Some wood scraps cut to the right length or even those old encyclopedias nobody uses any more. Or you can bend the metal back and then use another piece and with some bolts brace it so it will stay in place.
