What are bad things about Joining the Air Force?

I am going into my Junior year of High School and My parents are starting to crunch down on what I'm going to do with my life after High School, I've always wanted to join the air force ever since I've been a little kid playing with G.I. Joe's. I ask my friends that are in the Army, Marine Corp, Navy, and Air Force and more then half of hem say they would Join the Air Force and My grandfather who is a veteran from WWII, He was a EM-3 and I know people are going to correct me on saying e-3 but I know for a fact its EM-3 because its on his head stone.. But. Before he left he said that The Marines where the ones to go in an slaughter everything, Army just goes in cleans up everybody's Sh*t and In the Navy you will always have a warm bed and a warm meal waiting for you after every night... I want to be able to travel the world and you get life time benefits once you Join the service, if I join the service and become a Still Photography Specialist, would I be doing travel in direct combat zones? or would I just be flying over zones taking mapping photographs? If there is any of these people that have that exact job could you tell me what you do from a day to day? I want to know from a different perspective other then the air forces website... What bad things do you get out of the air force?
